Lego Marvel’s Avengers is a video game created by Traveller’s Tales and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game is based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and features storylines from The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron, as well as individual levels inspired by Captain America: The First Avenger, Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The game has a similar gameplay style to other Lego franchise video games, incorporating puzzles and action. To progress through levels, players must solve puzzles scattered throughout the game environment. The main open-world hub of the game is New York City, but it now includes seven other important movie areas that players can explore – Asgard, Malibu, South Africa, The Helicarrier, the Bartons’ farm, Washington D.C., and Sokovia. Each hub offers a variety of side quests and bonus levels, including citizen rescues and races. Although the game’s story mainly centers around the first two Avengers movies, there are individual levels inspired by Captain America: The First Avenger, Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. It’s worth noting that the main story is only a small portion of the game’s overall completion.
