In Resident Evil Code Veronica, players assume the role of Claire Redfield, a young woman who returns to her hometown seeking answers about her missing brother Chris. She is captured and imprisoned on Rockfort Island after raiding an Umbrella Corporation facility in Paris in search of her brother Chris. Soon after disembarking, a man named Rodrigo Juan Raval frees her from jail since she is not much of a threat considering the outbreak of the T-virus on Rockfort. On the uninhabited island, Claire teams up with in-mate Steve Burnside while being confronted by the island’s leader Alfred Ashford. Albert Wesker is on a mission of his own to retrieve a sample of Alexia Ashford’s T-Veronica virus, which was created by her brother Alfred. He also ordered the spread of the T-virus on Rockfort Island.
