Slime Rancher 2 Finally Shares 2022 Release Date, Drops Preview Video
The sequel, released for the first time on PS4 and Xbox One in May 2019, transports players to Rainbow Island, where they may create, farm, and manage a lush conservatory.
Slime Rancher fans have been waiting anxiously for the precise launch date of Slime Rancher 2, which was announced late last year.
Don’t put it off any longer. Slime Rancher 2 will be released by game developer Monomi Park this fall, according to a press release on Tuesday. We don’t have a date yet. But we were treated to an amazing gameplay trailer.
Even if you’ve never played Slime Rancher, the new trailer is likely to amaze you. Beatrix LeBeau, the protagonist, goes to the new Rainbow Island in search of a treasure. The colorful environment lives up to its name.
Rainbow Island is a “mysterious land overflowing with ancient technology, unknown natural resources, and an avalanche of wriggling, jiggling, and new slimes to discover,” according to its marketers. There’s also a stunning conservatory with glittering glass walls and spectacular views.
Cotton slime, angler slime, flutter slime, batty slime, and tanuki slime are some of the new slimes in Slime Rancher 2. (Yes, like the raccoon dog that influenced Tom Nook and Timmy and Tommy in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.)
The original Slime Rancher debuted in 2017. Over 12 million copies have been downloaded, and over 5 million units have been sold. The sequel was first announced back in June 2021.
The news has made many people happy. “I’d wait eight years for this and be astounded!” said an Instagram user.
