Prince of Persia: Warrior Within ROM – The Prince is pushed to his limits and his life is constantly endangered by a deadly monster known as the Dahaka, who has hunted him for seven years. The Prince turns to an old wise man for advice, who tells him that releasing the Sands of Time will mean death. Because he was able to avoid his fate, it is Dahaka’s duty as keeper of the Timeline to make certain that he does as he was intended.

The old man also talks about the Island of Time, where the Empress of Time first created the Sands. The Prince sets sail for the Island in an attempt to prevent the Sands from coming into existence, believing it will appease the Dahaka. After a battle at sea with an enemy force led by a mysterious woman in black caps ends up sinking his ship, the Prince washes ashore on the Island of Time without realizing it.
