Pokemon Go Palkia Raid Guide: Best Counters, Weaknesses and Moveset
Once again, Dialga has departed Pokemon Go, but another mythical Pokemon has taken its place. Palkia, the legendary cover monster of Pokemon Pearl, will appear in five-star raids until Aug. 10. Not only does this provide you with another opportunity to capture it if you’ve previously missed it, but if you’re lucky, you may discover a gleaming Palkia.
Here are some strategies to help you survive and capture Palkia before it leaves raids.
Palkia Raid Hours
Palkia will appear in five-star raid battles until 10 a.m. on August 10 local time. These assaults will happen at irregular intervals throughout that period, but you’ll have more opportunities to battle the mythical Pokemon on August 3, during Pokemon Go’s Raid Hour event. That night, from 6 to 7 p.m., Palkia raids will take place at additional gyms, giving you more chances to capture it.
Palkia weaknesses
Palkia is a dragon/water hybrid, making it vulnerable to only two types: fairy and dragon. The former are especially useful against the mythical Pokemon; not only do fairy Pokemon inflict super-effective damage on Palkia, they also resist its dragon-type assaults.
Other dragon Pokemon have an edge against Palkia if you don’t have enough fairy Pokemon on your team. Other dragon Pokemon, on the other hand, may take super-effective damage from its dragon-type assaults and will not last as long in battle.
