Pokemon Fan Builds Custom Clock Featuring All Three Kanto Starter Pokemon

A Pokemon enthusiast creates a one-of-a-kind clock with the three Kanto region starters, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle.

The franchise’s fans seem to adore the initial four Pokemon from the Kanto region, which is no surprise given that beginning players of Pokemon Red and Blue are likely to recall making the key decision of choosing between Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle at the start of their adventures as a Pokemon trainer. Recently, a fan of the three original starter Pokemon used his or her pocket monsters as inspiration for an incredible bespoke clock that he or she made.

When Pokemon’s Gen 1 starters were introduced, the age-old debate about whether players prefer element and type to Pokemon began all over again. Every Pokemon generation since then has given players the option of selecting one of three starting Pokemon. Hybrid types were first introduced in later generations, allowing gamers greater choice in their chosen Pokemon’s abilities and move sets.

TrueOmega1990, a Redditor, created a unique clock as a way to express their affection for the Pokemon franchise. According to the creator, they made the clock for their son’s request of a gift for one of his best friends. The designer is said to have used laser cutting equipment to modify the design by cutting out the forms of Kanto region starters Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle from the top of the clock face and the Pokemon brand logo at the bottom.

 

TrueOmega1990’s handiwork was praised by fellow Pokemon fans. This is already the second Pokemon-themed clock that the artist has produced through the use of their laser cutting equipment, according to their Reddit profile. The second clock, like the first, focused on characters from Gen 1 such as Pikachu, Snorlax, Jigglypuff, and even legendary Psychic-type Pokemon Mewtwo. Many people praised the artist’s job and said that they preferred the Kanto region starters clock to the one featuring Pikachu and his companions.

TrueOmega1990 may have their work cut out for them if they want to turn all of the pocket creatures in the roster into Pokemon-themed clock face designs.
