Minecraft NFTs Not Allowed, Developer Says
There will be no non-fungible tokens, or NFTs, in Minecraft. Mojang, the game’s developer, says that it will not support or allow Minecraft NFTs (non-fungible tokens) in its blog post Wednesday.
“To ensure that Minecraft players have a safe and inclusive experience, blockchain technology may not be integrated into our Minecraft client or server applications, nor may it be used to generate NFTs associated with in-game content, including worlds, skins, personal items, or other mods. “Mojang added.
The developer expressed concerns that firms may have already produced NFTs based on Minecraft, but he feels they aren’t inclusive and “establish a scenario of the haves and the have-nots.” Mojang also raised issues about fraud and artificially inflated prices for NFTs.
Despite their growing popularity, the video game industry has yet to fully embrace NFTs. Despite the present crypto winter, there have been a few instances of success that didn’t last. When someone finds the proper way to implement NFTs, experts predict they will become the norm in gaming.
