Shantae is a platform game published by Capcom and produced by WayForward Technologies in 2002, the first version released. The player will transform into Shantae – a genie created by Erin Bozzon – in this fantastic world of Sequin Land. Most of the game’s background will be made up of fantasy pictures, making it slightly unrealistic. The game will have up to 50 interlaced day and night map areas. The hero must destroy all 75 distinct creatures and their minions in order to win the finale. The combat power will rapidly increase by employing new weapons with special abilities. Each enemy defeated increases the character’s level, as well as opening a new area on the map.
