Pokemon FireRed Version is a 2004 role-playing video game developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance. It is the third installment in the Pokemon RPG series, following 2002’s Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. The game is set in the fictional region of Kanto, with players taking on the role of a young Trainer who challenges eight Gym Leaders, battling other Trainers and earn Badges to participate in the Pokémon League. Along the way, they make new friends and face enemies who want to thwart their progress. The gameplay is largely identical to its predecessors; Like all core games of the franchise, FireRed focuses on catching, training, and fighting different Pokémon species.
